Natural Project Charter


1. To produce animal proteins to feed the human population
    - To insure a competitive, regular and planned production.
    - To produce in well-managed, sanitary conditions

2. To use natural resources responsibly
    - To select animals for protein production which provides the most beneficial balance of quality-meat yield, feed efficiency and production numbers  
    - To optimize the animal nutritional performance to control the consumption of inputs
    - To limit energy use by choosing alternatives to fossil fuels
    - To better manage water consumption

3. To support local, sustainable animal production practices
    - To produce food close to where it is consumed
    - To create economic value by contributing to local social development
    - To promote the use of byproducts and co-products

4. To promote the use of biological sanitary and environmental solutions
    - To develop, implement and maintain production unit biosecurity
    - To promote preventative animal health programs such as vaccine protocols and disinfection practices
    - To prevent contamination risks through controlled management of the bacterial ecology

5. To promote and incentivize the use of the NATURAL PROJECT approach
    - To create and promote an annual NATURAL PROJECT Award contest for the best innovation dossier submitted.
